Web Site Policies
Action For Nature (AFN) is pleased to provide information about its web site policies, including its privacy policies.
AFN’s web site is intended as a safe and stimulating place for young people throughout the world to establish links and exchange information and ideas about improving the environment. Our policies are intended to encourage this exchange while maintaining the privacy of all of our users.
General Privacy Statement
No information will be collected about you unless you choose to provide it. Any personal information which you provide us will be safeguarded and will not be shared with others for any reason. Please be assured that AFN does not sell, transfer or disclose personal information to third parties.
A cookie is a small file stored on your hard disk drive. Cookies may contain different types of information such as site preferences and login information. AFN does not use this cookie to link to personally identifiable information on our site.
Links to Other Sites
We may offer links to sites that are not operated by AFN. If you visit one of these linked sites, you should review their privacy and other policies. We are not responsible for the policies and practices of other companies, and any information you submit to those companies is subject to their privacy policies.
At AFN we are especially concerned with protecting the privacy of children who visit our site. We fully support the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, even though it does not apply to non-profit organizations like ours.
We collect only limited personal information from children 12 and under (such as their email addresses). We will not obtain personally-identifying information from a child 12 and younger, such as a postal address or a telephone number, without the consent of a parent or guardian.
We do not share children’s personal information with anyone other than those who provide support for the internal operations of the web site and our agents (for example, contractors who provide fulfillment services or technical support to the Web site).
We urge parents to regularly monitor and supervise their children’s on-line activities.
Please remember that no one can guarantee the complete security of information transmitted over the Internet. Therefore, you should be careful about the personal information which you provide to us or any other site. Rest assured that we will do everything we can to safeguard your information.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our policies, please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
