Sharing CenterAmazing StoriesAppreciate and PreserveSince I was able to walk my parents have had me on the trail in the woods hiking and teaching me the many wonders of how to respect and take care of our precious environment. For the past three years I have been involved in two different clubs taking the initiative and being involved to help improve our natural wonders that God has blessed us with. At North Tonawnda High School both the Outdoor Awareness, and the Animal Club I have been a member of, have given me the desire to make our world a better place to live. Through these clubs I have made hiking trails for the Klidale Wetlands, participated in cleaning up the shores of the Niagara River Fisherman's Park, and raised money for wildlife rehabilitation. The largest project that I was a part of this year was the Zoar Valley Redesign Project, which was to preserve the old growth forests and stop logging and mineral extraction on this natural piece of land. By being involved in all of these projects I truely believe I have contributed to the preservation of our planet and overall became a person who appreciates the nature all around us.
